The Canadian International School is an International Baccalaureate school with a student body of over 5,000 individuals from 80 countries. CIS offers the International Baccalaureate Primary, Middle Years and Diploma programmes to students from Nursery to Grade 12.

Reflecting our international context, our curriculum draws from the best global primary school curricula and is delivered within the Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework. Teaching instruction caters to each student’s needs, abilities and learning styles, resulting in a community of happy, confident and engaged learners.

Secondary School at CIS is a challenging and supportive environment, resulting in students who are confident, passionate and driven to succeed. Reflecting our international context, our academically challenging Grades 7 to 10 curriculum draws from the best secondary curricula globally and is delivered within the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) framework, while students in Grades 11 to 12 study the internationally recognised IB Diploma Programme (IBDP). As a result, our students develop the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to remain relevant and competitive in a changing world.

Admission

We accept students in Kindergarten to Grade 8 throughout the year, although places are subject to vacancy. Entry into Grades 9 and 10 is open until the last Monday in February each school year, while entry into Grades 11 and 12 (the IB Diploma Programme) is only open to Grade 11 students during the first two weeks of the school year*.
