GESS has strong European foundations and believes in developing confident, forward-looking students through a celebration of respect, openness and diversity. GESS is recognised for its languages and offers a choice between two main curricula: the German Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme in English. Many languages are offered as part of the unique mother tongue and language enrichment programmes. The school caters to students of all ages, starting from 2 years to graduation at 18 years. The school is a private school association, which is managed by an elected board and school management. The school currently has more than 450 full and part-time employees.
As commissioned by the German Foreign Office, the Central Agency for German Schools (CAGS) supports the German European School Singapore (GESS) in terms of financial, personnel and education resources. In addition, CAGS helps to promote quality-oriented advancement of the school through professional advisory and support services. ....
Our new purpose-built campus with brand new facilities opened in August 2018 on Dairy Farm Lane.
The GESS School Association is a private body whose main purpose is to maintain and enhance the interests of GESS. Most members of the Association are parents of GESS students.
The Association is managed by a Board of Governors. The Board provides strategic direction and develops long-term goals for the school, to ensure that our students and teachers have the tools and infrastructure required for a high-quality education and learning experience. ....
The Board works closely with the school management, which is responsible for the day-to-day running of the school. The Board has overall financial responsibility for the school.
At GESS, we do not academically select students for admission into our school. As a community school, we admit students where we can support their needs and help the student achieve their goals.
Applications can be submitted at any time during the year and students may start school on any Monday during school time except, for Grades 11 and 12. ....
