Budding Poets From UAE Schools To Recite At The Poetic Heart

Dubai,UAE, January 29th, 2019- What started as a thought to share poetry with a few in 2012 has now established a platform that has now succeeded in moving hearts for seven years. Each year a list of established poets, some returning, some new come together to share the heart of a ‘poet’, moving emotions of thousands over the years with their beautiful emotive expressions through ‘poetry’. Over 70 leading poets have shared this stage giving the event it’s priceless poetic expressions. An initiative envisaged by SGI Gulf and mentored by renowned Emirati poet Dr.Shihab Ghanem, Poetic Heart has become one of the most prestigious poetry symposiums in UAE for school students.

If poetry alone does not string the hearts, so many talented musicians give poetry the melody and the muse by filling the interludes between the mesmerising dance of their poems with soulful and captivating music. Each of the 16 musicians in the last six years have filled the day with heartfelt rhythm.

The only role we play on this earth is to pass on our heritage to the hands of the youth. The Poetic Heart has been tirelessly searching hidden young gems across the vast number of schools in UAE to encourage, to appreciate and to give a platform to their clear, honest, courageous words of poetry.

Their pure young emotions, their insightful depth into what they should be for them and what we as borrowers of this earth must do to save it for them makes this event the align with the future of poetry.

Over 100 students across hundreds of schools have shared their vision over the past 07 years.

In the last two years ‘The Poetic Heart’ reached out with the help of its  sponsor’s Emirates NBD to the admirable efforts of Manzil and SNF schools who nurture ‘the determined’ youth of the society to share the Poetic Heart platform, participate in the joy and the poetic journey through their inspirational expressions through music and their poems.
