NAKSHATRA PREM

Nakshatra Prem is a well oriented, socially responsible student of Grade 4, in ADIS Muroor, who always scores 95-100% in her exams. She is a voracious reader and enthusiastic writer. At school, her favorite subjects are Maths and Science, and in her spare time, she loves to read and dance.

Upon leaving school, Nakshatra wishes to work with the United Nations Organisation in order to make a difference to peoples lives; especially for those who are less fortunate. To make the world a better place, she wishes to spread kindness and is already doing so at the young age of nine, by founding STARKID - The Kindness Movement for SDGs. Nakshatra’s passion in Sustainable Development is evident in the informative and creative book which she penned and is titled as FOR OUR PLANET, which is treating the reader to a powerful narrative with many calls to action in their day to day life to help improve the world around them.

Nakshatra has numerous achievements and accomplishments to her name, including the Founder of STARKID-The Kindness Movement for SDGs and SDG Child Ambassador, Child Volunteer of ConnectAID, International Solidarity Network and ConnectAID Youth Academy Member & Student Voice.

Nakshatra has performed and attended various public speaking roles including World Children Conference Speaker in August 2020, and she was an Interviewee during the World Summit of Social Media Influencers for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Nakshatra is a member of the International Dance Council (CID), The United Nations of Dance, UNESCO and she is a budding Orator & Dancer, Environment Activist & Campaigner for Save Water Movement

She is an excellent orator and stage performer and has won many prizes in UAE level youth festivals. She has proven her talent in dance like Bharatnatyam and Folk Dance, mono act, recitations and public speaking too. She has proven her academic skills also by being Gold Medal Winner in UAE level in International Olympiads and Emirates Level Winner in International Spell Bee Contests. She is an invitee for the UNESCO World Dance Fest.

She actively participates in many volunterring programs partnering with Charity and Humanitarian organizations.
