A Glimpse Into Anuradha’s Life Upto High School

Anuradha is a grade 12 student studying at the Indian High School, Dubai.

Anuradha scored 98.4% in the AISSCE (CBSE Grade 10 examination) with a 100 in Maths, 100 in Science, and 100 in Foundation of IT. She secured third in the Indian High School, Dubai, for the same among 706 students.

She recently won the Sastra Pratibha Contest 2020 held by Science India Forum, UAE.

Anuradha has received honors in several Olympiads at the national and international levels. She won a Gold Medal for the National Biology Olympiad Qualifier, 2021, among 400 students across UAE. She also ranked 8th in UAE for the Physics Olympiad Qualifier held by the International Olympiad Foundation (IOF). She represented UAE in the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO), 2017, conducted in the Netherlands. She ranked second in UAE for the same Olympiad’s national qualifier. Anuradha also received the Medal of Distinction for her performance in the National Science Olympiad and the International Mathematics Olympiad 2020-2021.

She won 2nd place in the Heriot-Watt Mathematics Competition 2021 and also placed 3rd in the same competition in 2020. Her team won 2nd in the Mathematics Quiz Competition held as part of Sciscape 2019-2020. Her team also won 2nd for the Scimex- project presentation for the same event.

She received a Certificate of Outstanding Performance in ASSET 2017 for Mathematics, Science, and English and scored highest in Math at the National Level.

Apart from academics, Anuradha also actively takes part in several co-curricular activities.

Anuradha’s team was the only team from UAE to qualify into the semifinal of the app-building competition Technovation 2019, 2020, and 2021 (ongoing). She built two apps; Trackatoo – an app that helps reunite lost people with their families and lost pets with their owners and, EChO – a game with fun-filled challenges to preserve our environment. The winner of these challenges gets an opportunity to hold an eco-campaign in his/her community or with the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG).

In music, she recently completed Grade 8 trinity keyboard exams. She had completed Grade 7 theory and music performance exams with Distinction last year.

In Karate, she has earned Sandan – 3rd Black Belt in Shorin-Ryu Seibukan Karate-Do. She recently won 1st in the Kata and 3rd in Kobudo Championship 2020.

Anuradha is not only a tough Karateka but also a graceful dancer. She passed the ‘Madhyama Pratham’ (4th Level) in the Gandharva Exam for Bharatnatyam dance in 2018 with First Grade.

Anuradha enjoys writing articles and poems on a wide range of topics. She received the Bin Haider Tolerance Competition Award for her essay titled – “UAE – A Land of Infinite Possibilities” and related works enumerating tolerance in the UAE.

She was the Quiz Club Leader from 2015-2018 and an active participant of the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) and Environmental Club at School. She was also the Ruby House Captain 2015-2016 and Head Monitor 2018-2019 at School.

Anuradha strongly believes in Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam’s words, “Be active! Take on responsibility! Work for the things you believe in. If you do not, you are surrendering your fate to others.”
